Tuscany: the holiday of your dreams.

At this time of year, we are tired and want to go on vacation: we start to visit dozens of websites, we are looking for the best offer for the most beautiful and fashionable place. Italy has always been and will always be one of the most popular destinations for tourism, because in this peninsula it is possible to satisfy any kind of preference: if you prefer a beach holiday, you can book in southern Italy or in the beautiful islands of Sicily and Sardinia; if you prefer a sporty or relaxing holiday in the mountains, you will want to go to the Alps, then to Northern Italy; but if you are looking for a complete holiday, made of sea, mountain, art cities and good food, your destination must be Tuscany.

Tuscany is in the center of Italy and is one of the most visited destinations, especially with regard to cultural tourism and wine and food tourism. But there is also the sea: the famous Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi attract tourists from all over the world; if you are a mountain lover, the Garfagnana will be the right place for you, full of hiking trails and caves to explore.

As far as art cities are concerned, Tuscany has an immense wealth: S.Gemignano, Volterra, Siena, Arezzo, Firenze, Pisa, Lucca: these are just some of Tuscany’s most art-rich cities, but this region is made up of so many small medieval villages, scattered throughout the region, from north to south. Lucca is perhaps the least known among those I mentioned earlier: it is a small town surrounded by Renaissance walls (the only ones in the world that are intact and fully accessible on foot). Also known as the city of 100 churches, it is a historic jewel, perfectly preserved, where you can spend an unforgettable holiday full of history, folklore, art and good food and wine. In addition to the historical center, wonderful and unique, Lucca is surrounded by small villages where you can take walks and sample typical dishes and the exquisite wine produced locally. The best way to enjoy the beauty of the area is to rent a villa in Tuscany: its rustic flavour typical of the Tuscan countryside, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, will make your holiday unique and wonderful.

In conclusion, Italy is really rich in natural and artistic beauty and Tuscany can be defined as its crown jewel.
